Shadow Board

RenewableUK set up its Shadow Board in 2019 to provide its leadership team and Board members with a diverse range of views on key industry issues. Now in its fourth iteration, Shadow Board members represent companies from every part of our sector and, in turn, our membership base.

They offer high levels of expertise in areas such as electrical engineering, project management, law, marketing, asset management, business development, environmental management, and public affairs. Shadow Board members are at a senior level in their companies, close to leadership and strategic thinking, but they also have a day-to-day view on project delivery, providing valuable insight and important perspectives.

RenewableUK provides this opportunity to its Shadow Board members to help them develop their careers and gain access to Board experience. We’re proud that the membership of our Shadow Board reflects our commitment to improving gender and ethnic diversity, as well as diversity in geography and technology. It’s the right thing to do because representation matters—and it also helps us better reflect the broad range of our membership.
