The Aviation Investment Funding Company Ltd
The Aviation Investment Fund Company Limited (AIFCL) was formed in 2009 as the wind industry funding body to support the various work streams under the Government’s Wind & Aviation Plan.
It is overseen by the Aviation Management Board (AMB) that is chaired by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ).
What are we looking for?
The AIFCL 2.0 launched at the RenewableUK Wind and Aviation event in May 2022, calling for the submission of new Business Cases from all onshore wind and aviation stakeholders .
There is a preference for joint-funding endeavours, for example with industry or government, as this allows funds to be spread across a greater number of initiatives for maximum benefit. However, this can be considered on a case-case basis.
