In 2017, the UK developed the world’s first wind farm on floating foundations off the coast of Scotland. We are building on this to lead the world in floating offshore wind, driving economic growth while aiming to deliver energy to millions of homes and businesses. We have the second largest pipeline of floating offshore wind projects globally and some of the best offshore wind resources in the world.

We’re working to maximise the UK’s potential to build floating offshore wind farms and manufacture key components, giving UK companies a first-mover advantage in domestic and global markets.
