RenewableUK is inviting journalists from around the world to join us at the offshore wind industry’s biggest annual event Global Offshore Wind2019 which is taking place at ExCeL London on 25th-26th June.
The UK is putting offshore wind at the heart of our energy future, with the newly-announced Sector Deal with Government setting us on course to generate more than one-third of our electricity from offshore wind by 2030, in an industry employing 27,000 highly-skilled people.
The UK is the most exciting market for offshore wind in the world, with 6GW of new capacity coming forward at record low prices this year. The event will feature industry leaders from across the sector and keynote speakers include the Energy and Clean Growth Minister Claire Perry who will address delegates on Wednesday 26th June. Other speakers will be announced shortly.
The conference includes sessions on:
Pioneering technologies such as floating foundations, AI and robotics, which are opening up new opportunities and markets across the globe.
The global energy transition and the rapid shift away from fossil fuels in response to climate change and how offshore wind can accelerate decarbonisation.
The political, legal and commercial impact of Brexit in a session that will help companies navigate Brexit with perspectives from government, legal experts and the international supply chain.
The global opportunity offered by the UK Offshore Wind Sector Deal will also come under the spotlight.
More than 3,000 delegates from 40 countries are expected to attend the event, which includes 200 speakers in over 50 hours of sessions, as well as an exhibition in which 150 companies will showcase the latest cutting-edge products and services, featuring several international pavilions.
