Onshore Wind Economic Benefits Factsheet. April 2015.

The East of England is home to some of the household names in onshore wind energy, such as RES, one of the world’s leading renewable energy developers active in a range of renewable energy technologies including onshore wind. Their HQ is in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire. This helps explain why the region will receive estimated economic benefits of over £440 million over the lifetime of its installed onshore wind projects. There are just over 310 megawatts of installed onshore wind within the East of England, enough to power over 160,000 homes.
