Inside Dogger Bank: lessons from the world's largest offshore wind farm | 11:45 – 13:45

Explore lessons learned during the ongoing construction of the world's largest offshore wind farm Dogger Bank directly from Hitachi Energy, a key supplier who delivered the cutting-edge HVDC substation and helped enable first power to the grid. 

During this session you will hear a unique summary of the project that has spanned ten years through the eyes of independent researchers at Imperial College London. This will be followed by an opportunity to join a working table with themed discussions around some of the challenges of the project and the opportunities for taking these learnings into the future.

Join the stakeholders involved who will lead the table discussions including RenewableUK, Hitachi Energy, SSE, Equinor and Imperial College as we discuss how the best practices and learnings from this impressive project can be used to accelerate the energy transition.

Supply Chain Decommissioning Workshop with RWE | 10:30 – 12:00

RWE owns some of the earliest Offshore Wind Farms in UK and European waters. In order to prepare for the evaluation and solutions to future repowering, life-extension and/or decommissioning, we are looking to work closely with the knowledge and capabilities of the wider supply chain.

Come and join us on 18 June at 10:30 (South Gallery Meeting Room 15) to hear from our Decommissioning Team and find out how to play your part. We will be running a presentation shortly followed by networking and 121 sessions running from 10:30 - 12:00. You are welcome to stay for all of it or just the presentation with options to book further 121s afterwards.
