Sustainability
Conferences and events, even those about renewable energy, can have a significant environmental impact. We are working to mitigate any negative impacts as much as possible, and strive to have a positive impact on the sector and the local area with every event we run.

Reducing your impact
As a delegate
As a delegate, you can minimise your impact by:
- Planning your journey. Your journey to and from the event can be one of the largest contributors to carbon emissions related to our events. Opt for public transport, carshare, or consider sustainable travel options.
- Choose sustainable businesses. If staying overnight, research local hotels, restaurants and other business committed to sustainability.
- Bring a water bottle. Water refill points are available at our events. Don't add more to landfill!
As an exhibitor
Please consider material choices and how you can make your stand as sustainable as possible. We are tracking the carbon emissions of the exhibition and are working with our exhibitors to encourage sustainable builds, with a competition for ‘Most Sustainable Stand’.
Careful venue and supplier choices
Our venue and suppliers have been selected based on their commitment to environmentally friendly practices.
We're proud to partner with Excel London, who uses 100% renewable energy and has zero-waste-to-landfill, measure and report on carbon emissions for each event, and have been awarded the 'Triple Crown ' of sustainability.
Reducing waste
- Digital solutions: We've replaced printed programmes with mobile apps and use digital signage where possible to minimise paper waste.
- Sustainable stands: All exhibitors must submit a sustainability plan covering the lifecycle of their stands and materials. We benchmark this data and celebrate more sustainable exhibition stands as part of a sustainability recognition scheme.
- Recyclable materials: We use bamboo-based, recyclable lanyards and delegate badges.
- Printed materials: All paper print is using water-based inks. Our event map is printed by a certified B-Corp local printer.
- Eco-friendly carpeting: We use rewind carpet which contains no latex, requires no water in manufacturing, and significantly reduces CO2 emissions.
