Anti-slavery and human trafficking statement

Introduction

Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour, and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.

Our commitment

RenewableUK has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships. We are dedicated to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains.

Our policies

RenewableUK acknowledges its responsibilities in relation to tackling modern slavery and commits to complying with the provisions in the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We understand that this requires an ongoing review of both our internal practices in relation to our labour force and, additionally, our supply chains.

Supply chains

RenewableUK does not enter into business with any other organisation, in the United Kingdom or abroad, which knowingly supports or is found to involve itself in slavery, servitude, and forced or compulsory labour. No labour provided to the organisation in the pursuance of the provision of its own services is obtained by means of slavery or human trafficking. The organisation strictly adheres to the minimum standards required in relation to its responsibilities under relevant employment legislation in the United Kingdom.

Reporting Concerns

The prevention, detection, and reporting of modern slavery in any part of our organisation or supply chain is the responsibility of all those working for us or on our behalf. Workers must not engage in, facilitate, or fail to report any activity that might lead to, or suggest, a breach of this policy.

Review and monitoring

This statement is reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect any changes in our organisation and in the external environment. We will continue to review the effectiveness of the steps we have taken to ensure that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes RenewableUK's slavery and human trafficking statement.
