|Women Into Wind|
The wind energy sector offers significant opportunities for women. Over the next decade our wind energy capacity is set to expand significantly. There are different roles available at all stages of wind energy production – the development, construction and operation and maintenance of wind farms. There are also roles in associated professions, such as banking, communications and legal.
The energy sector has traditionally struggled to attract women, but a 2013 study found that the wind sector is more successful at attracting women than other parts of the power sector. However, the wind industry is committed to ensure all women interested in the sector are given the information they need to successfully build a career in it.
